“Beth is the best –because of her weekly private pilates sessions, I am able to sit on the ground and get back up again, my muscle cramps are at a minimum, and I am gaining more mobility in my arm.  I have learned what I can do at home to continually work on my mobility, and with Beth’s advice have purchased the toys needed.  In 2003 I suffered with ICU syndrome (because of a botched liver biopsy – I was in a drug induced coma for 4 weeks, with no movement).  All my muscles atrophied – my husband was taking pilates and yoga from Beth and asked her if she would be willing to work with me at my home.  Because of a suppressed immune system (from a bone marrow transplant) I was not able to go to a health club or studio.  Beth began coming to my home twice a week in the fall of 2005.  As I progressed with my mobility I joined a mat class and began going to her new studio.  I know that pilates is something that I will continue to do as I gain more stability and mobility. I tried acupuncture for a year, and physical therapy which left me sore, and I did not feel I was gaining any benefit from either.  The next day after a session with Beth, I am not sore and I have good mobility.  Beth Posa is a unique instructor who cares about me. the person and the training that is needed to best benefit me.”

I have taken Pilates with Beth Posa for over four years.  I was so committed to her program that I followed her from her original studio to her new home.  I originally struggled with Mat Pilates, but when the reformer was introduced to our facility, I signed up for a trial demonstration with Beth and was hooked.  Beth's gentle guidance and support helped me to challenge myself as a beginner.  She does not force any particular routine but is always looking at how your body alignment works with each exercise.
